Today my special guest is KJ and his lovely fiancé Lily.

KJ is an Instructor in the Kazami style of Japanese rope bondage at the Toronto Kinbaku Salon since 2018.

His interest in rope is long standing. First picking it up over 20 years ago, but tying infrequently, he was inspired to learn by watching the shibari performances at MBE (Morpheus Bondage Extravaganza).

His style centers on the power exchange and intimacy of Kinbaku and is often a playful take on semenawa (The Beauty of Suffering) with a strong aesthetic sense and a love of predicaments.

Today we discuss his journey into the world of rope and bondage. We find out what led him to become an instructor and where he developped his love of tying and rigging. We learn the proper terminoligy used in this unique world and find out that rope can equally be an art form or circus like act or be used for bondage kink.

Join us as I ask them about their experiences with rope and the rope community. It's a fascinating conversation.
